FO: north by norby

i finished this hat several months ago, but never got around to making the tassels that are included in the pattern. i finally decided to call it done and take pictures.

ravelry project page
pattern: norby from wool people, volume 2 by gudrun johnston
yarn: sunday knits brigadoon 3-ply in birch, approx. 220 yds. i’m such a sucker for silvery heathered greys…
needles: US 4 (3.5 mm)

i was a leetle worried about yardage, because the norby patterns claims it needs 270 yds (1 skein of loft) and i had 246 yds (1 skein of brigadoon), but it worked out just fine! a note about the yarn: this yarn is lovely and soft, but pleasantly crisp. i bought this yarn two years ago at the midwest fiber fest.

i made no mods or alterations.

thanks to my cousin patchen for modellllling! (he learned how to knit and finished a hat in the one week he was visiting. isn’t that crazy?!?!?! i took some pictures of it, cuz i’m so dang proud, but they are still on the camera, so you’ll just have to wait for that!)

I like it without the tassel as much as with it. Can’t wait to see his hat!

I love this design and yours came out great. I don’t think the tassel is missing one bit.
