a hat of his own making

i mentioned that i taught my cousin how to knit last week. here’s proof:

a hat of his own making

i taught him on a tiny swatch with a few rows of garter, followed by a few rows of stockinette. he picked it up lickety-split. i tried to tell him how unusually quickly he got the hang of it, but he didn’t have any basis for comparison… and then he made a hat!

i’m so proud! i hope he keeps it up!

Oh my gosh! That’s awesome! I have a beginner knitter customer who is starting with a sweater. My jaw dropped. You should push him that way next. ;)
